Introducing New Interim Youth Director, Paul Lutter
Announcing Summer Events
Hi!
My name is Paul Lutter, and I’m very excited to be serving as the interim youth director at First Lutheran Church for the summer. What excites me about youth ministry is the opportunity for us to get to know one another and to grow together in Christ as we play, learn, and serve together in the coming months. Since summer vacation has just begun, I’m writing to invite you to participate in several activities that are already planned for the summer.
Valley Fair: On Tuesday, June 22, we will leave from the church at 9 a.m. to spend the day at Valley Fair. You should plan on bringing money for snacks and lunch (or bring your own lunch), in addition to a swim suit and towel if you want to take part in the water park activities there. Friends are welcome to come along, but they will need to also pre-register. The cost for the day is $20.50 if 15 or more people sign up by bringing their permission slip (enclosed) and registration money to the church by Monday, June 14. We will leave Valley Fair at 4 p.m. that day and arrive back at the church a little after 5 p.m. This is always great fun, and we’d love to have you come along with us.
Moon Dogs: On Sunday, June 20, there will be a Faith Night at the Moon Dogs in Mankato. You may contact Barb Regner at the church for tickets. Tickets are $3/each. Transportation will be on your own, and you may sit anywhere in General Admission. Come and hang out with others from FLC, as well as other Christians from all over the area.
Java Jive: On Sundays, beginning on June 27 and going through the end of summer, meet me at River Rock Coffee from 7-8:30 p.m. for good coffee (or whatever) and good conversation about anything and everything. All you’ll need to bring are yourself, money for your favorite beverage and/or snack, and whatever you’re thinking about. You—and your friends—are totally invited to come and hang out with me to just talk.
There are more things in the works, and I’ll let you know when they are in place. But for now, I want to invite you to take part in these things. I’ll also look for opportunities to be in contact with you as the summer progresses. Either way, I look forward to hearing from you and to meeting you!
